All sorts of things are happening downtown this Saturday, as I mentioned before, including a really cute pancake server at the HGNA breakfast who is formerly known as Strudel Boy.
However, I want to point this one out in particular because it is new this year and it’s for a really good cause and it hasn’t gotten a lot of publicity:
I don’t know how many of you remember, but the Rotary Club used to host an Oktoberfest in the library parking lot. I’ve been pining for that missing fall festival for lo these many years it’s been missing, since our beloved Rotarians had to step in to save our summertime Heritage Fest (now called Rotary Grove Fest). Could the Great Pumpkin Fest be my salvation?
It will be held in the lower level of the parking garage, so it will be protected from the elements. Did you know the parking garage was built with the proper electrical equipment for events? I didn’t know that, but it’s true. So come out to support a good cause, enjoy good food and music, and check out the parking garage’s electrical system.
